Russian Hospitality Awards Winners Announced

Last week the Lotte Hotel Moscow was the scene of the Second Annual Russian Hospitality Awards. The black tie ceremony featured the top business owners, hotel managers, and leading global hospitality decision makers as well as business and lifestyle media.

With the set goal of making the Russian hospitality sector more attractive to customers via competition, the Russian Hospitality Awards pits hotels on the domestic and the international markets against one another in various fields of guest satisfaction and operations. With the Soccer World Cup preparations in full swing, the organizers of the event are stressing cooperation and communication across the Russian hospitality sector.

This year some 437 hotels from all over Russia were in the competition, which featured some of  industry’s key persons, including:

  • Sergey Pavlovich Shpilko, First Deputy Director of the National Policy and International Relations and Tourism Department of Moscow
  • Vadim Zelensky, Chairman for the Russian Tourism Association
  • Lana Klyueva, Operations Department Leader for MATCH Accommodation 2018
  • Thomas Emmanuel, Business Development Director for STR Global
  • Maxim Kobzev, regional manager, Expedia
  • Alyona Koryakina, Chief of Travels Department for Rambler&Co

Winners this year included: Best Sport Hotel – Sport Inn in Sochi, Best Historical Hotel – Rocco Forte Astoria Hotel in Saint Petersburg,  Best MICE hotel – Corinthia Hotel St. Petersburg, Best Boutique Hotel – RODINA Grand Hotel & SPA also in Sochi, and Best Design Hotel – Barvikha Hotel & Spa in Moscow, just to name a few. 

Among the Award’s partners were companies like: Deloitte, DLA Piper, JLL, Villeroy&Boch, Kärcher, Swiss Education Group, Elanna, Russian Caviar House, Nestlé Professional, and many others.
