In news from leading independent travel agency Avanti Destinations, the group has added  Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to its European lineup so travel agents can combine customized multi-destination independent itineraries for 2018.

Avanti, which sells complete vacations, hotels, experiences, and transfers exclusively through travel agents, now suggests the “Best of the Baltics” itinerary including Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Avanti is also offering a bonus commission of $50 for each booking of $1500 or more made before February 28, 2018 for off-season travel taking place through March 31, 2018.

The new itineraries include:

  • Best of the Baltics- An 8-day/7-night customizable itinerary visiting Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. The trip includes private transfers throughout, a private walking tour of Tallinn, tour of an open-air museum outside Tallinn, private city tours of Riga and Vilnius; 3 days of touring with a private driver-guide to see the medieval castles of Turaida and Sigulda in Latvia and the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania; and daily breakfast. Options that may be added include a bike ride to Peter the Great’s seaside palace (outside of Tallinn) and a balloon ride over Vilnius.
  • Tallinn, Estonia: Food Walking Tour- Explore the blend of Scandinavian, Russian and German foods that define Estonian cuisine and travel through Tallinn’s Old Town on this three-hour tour. Travelers get to sample local food specialties from soup to dessert and snacks, as well as both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Tallinn, Estonia: Other Side bike tour- See beyond the usual sights on this three-hour tour. Head to Kalamaja, voted one of the world’s top “hipster” neighborhoods; the inside of a prison used by both the Nazis and the Soviets; and the Kopli area of beaches and Soviet architecture.

Key to the customizable nature of these tours is the proximity of Baltic and regional destinations to one another. On this, Harry Dalgaard, Avanti’s president and CEO said; “Tallinn is only a two-hour ferry ride from Helsinki, making it an easy add-on.” Avanti Destinations, formed in 1981, is the premier FIT tour operator and a member of USTOA and ASTA.
