“1000 Years of Inca Gold” At Moscow’s Pushkin Museum

For visitors to Moscow a rare opportunity exists for those interested in history and art. The exhibition “1000 Years of Inca Gold” opened last week at the fabulous Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts there. This unique exhibition reveals the richness and splendor of PreColumbian culture with artifacts directly from the Lima Gold Museum in Peru.

Items of huge significance were put on display last week, most of which are made of pure gold. Ritual masks, plate, glasses, vessels of several kinds, and other items are on display until May 26th. The collection, part of one Miguel Mujica Gallo’s of some 8000 Andean artifacts,
