By using camera traps, US ecologists have been observing these fabulous birds in the wild. Having gathered a huge number of images (over a quarter of a million) of the giant birds of prey, the scientists have first hand data of the condors eating, socialising and even nesting. Now the ecologists need the world’s help in identifying the birds from numbered eggs. It’s the hope that this project will help preserve this endangered species of fabulous birds.
