World Lithuanian Economic Forum: Coming in June

Organizers of the World Lithuanian Economic Forum (WLEF), Global Lithuanian Leaders and the Lithuanian Business Confederation, recently chastised ex-pat Lithuanian business people for having forgotten the way back home. This story in the Lithuania Tribune reveals a Lithuania set on garnering all its human and other resources to attract interest and investment in the Baltic country.

Set for June 3rd in Vilnius, the WLEF will be a forum for some of Lithuania’s and the world’s most forward thinkers to table key Eastern European macro-economic trends, topics for growth and best practices in using regional and global leadership for the good of Lithuania and the region.

Among the panelists scheduled to lead discussion are; Peter Boyd – Carbon War Room CEO  (Australia), James Oates, Ciocero Invest (Estonia),
Ilja Laurs, GetJar CEO (USA), John Mack, President CIE Automotive (China), Jurgita Žilinskienė, Today Translations Founder (UK), Francisco Ricardo Blagevitch, President, Founder at Asyst International (Brasil, Sao Paulo), and many other critical decision makers.

Among the celebrity thinkers, architect extraordinary Massimiliano Fuksas told the Lithania Tribune:

“It is a great honour to be part of this Forum, and I am very happy I will have a chance to come back to my homeland on this great occasion.”

For his part, Fuksas is world renown not only for his design and architectural genius, but for helping solve some of society’s biggest urban problems. Fuksas is a visiting professor at a score of universities, as well as the arch angel of the ideology “Less Aesthetics, More Ethics”, propositioned at the  7th International Architecture Exhibition. It is people like Fuksas that will set the tone for ongoing discussions on the future path of Lithuanian and Baltic states’ futures. Obviously the tone of the ex-pat message is designed to wrangle more key Lithuanians into the discussion too.
