Wizz Air Launched New Budapest-Malta Low Cost Route

Low-cost airline Wizz Air, one of the top players in the low-fare market of Central and Eastern Europe, has announced the addition of a new route to its flight map, the Budapest-Malta route. Flights between the Hungarian Capital and the island of Malta will debut on May 17th, 2013, and the route will initially be operated twice a week.

Wizz Air will be flying to Hungary’s capital city on Mondays and Fridays for as low as  €27.99 per flight for tickets booked online on the airline’s website. The low cost carrier’s arrival in Malta creates interesting opportunities for both tourists in the two connected destinations, as they can travel for a low fare and the tourism industries in the regions.

Starting to offer its low-cost flight services in 2004,  Wizz Air currently offers more than 25o low-fare routes across 30 countries and 84 destinations. Their goal is to expand their fight routes to offer affordable air travel on the West-East axis while providing new travel experiences to their European customers.
