WhichBudget, a site that makes it easy to search for “cheap flights” around the world, has introduced a new online airline ratings tool so you can more easily complain about your cheap flights. In all seriousness, the tool provides a 5-star rating systems for the airlines featured on the site, allowing users to express their pleasure, displeasure, or anything in between about their experiences with the airlines.
The addition is integrated into the normal search system, so you can search for flights from one destination to another and see the ratings on particular airlines offering those flights. For example, if you need to fly from Brussels to El Salvador, you could fly Condor, which has a rating of 3 stars out of 5.
The new feature should help travelers balance the thin line between quality and price. After all, a service that is dirt cheap may very well be worth dirt. According to the company’s survey, 37% of travelers were more likely to choose an airline with a better rating, even if it were not the absolute cheapest. The ratings system has been in testing for some time and was launched last week, already showing a decent number of ratings for most airlines.
WhichBudget considers itself to be a “flight search engine” The European travel organization has been online since 2002 and offers travelers primarily from Europe with inexpensive travel destinations around the world. The service itself is free, although you can rest assured that you will still have to pay for your airline tickets.
