US Travelers Prefer European Countries for 2013

Europe is a top preference for US travelers making their plans for 2013, according to a recent survey by Fly.com. Italy ranks first in their recently released survey, followed by Australia. Another two European destinations, the United Kingdom and France, also made it into the top 5, following New Zealand on the US travelers’ wishlist for 2013

In the lower section of the top 10, US hot destinations put the country on the sixth place. Ireland and Spain are next in popularity for those making holiday plans for next yer, with Fiji and South Africa rounding up the top 10 list.

When asked about the region they wanted to travel to, most US respondents chose Europe and Oceania (with 60% of the mentions. Asia is another favorite region to travel to, the third most popular in the Fly.com top. Of those wanting to travel to Asia, most would like to visit India, other top preferences being Japan, Thailand, China and Vietnam.

“It is no surprise that Italy is at the top of America’s wish list for 2013.
