Unique and Colorful Singapore

The island nation of Singapore is an economically prosperous scenic “traveler’s paradise”. On the map it looks rather small, but in fact it has an intricate collection of attractions and it can take weeks to visit most of the small country’s primary attractions. It’s multicultural, prosperous, but a country with strict laws.

As evidence, chewing gum is illegal in Singapore and so are parabolic antennas. Hugging someone without their permission is punished by law and they even have the death penalty. However strict its laws are, this makes it one of the World’s safest and cleanest countries. But why visit Singapore?

There are several reasons…

For its multicultural riches – historic ethnic neighbourhoods like: Chinatown, Little India, Bras Basah, Bugis, Arab Street… The hypermodern architectural wonders are already World-renowned: the Marina Bay Sands Hotel’s  observation deck offers breathtaking views of Singapore’s panorama, the Gardens by The Bay is essentially a modern artificially-created green area where artificial tree-like structures host climbing green vegetation (it’s really a modern botanical garden).

Photographers will love Singapore and so will those who love eating. Cuisines from all over the World are well-represented in Singapore, but the Asian ones are most abundant. Eateries like the Telok Ayer Market will give you the opportunity to taste various traditional meals… Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indian… are just some of many.

When reading through Escape Hunter’s epic Singapore trip guide, one can easily put together a list of hot spots to visit and a route to go around. It’s un unbiased guide put together by the enthusiastic incognito traveler, Escape Hunter. In addition, you may also want to use the YourSingapore site for complete up-to-date information.

While traveling to Singapore is more likely to cost you a fortune – provided that you travel there by plane or ship and from far away, the local prices are below those in London, Vienna or Tokyo. It may seem as a paradox, but one of the World’s most prosperous countries is relatively affordable even to budget travelers. Once they’re already there…

Besides all of the above, you will also find Singapore an ideal hub for traveling around in Southeast Asia and Australasia.
