For the first time in 2019, the island of Skiathos appeared among the Italians’ top 10 Greek destinations of choice in seventh place, followed by two destinations on Santorini: Oia and Imerovigli. The top ten of the Italian market wraps up with Faliraki (Rhodes) that makes an appearance in the top 10 for the first time this year.

Prices Trending Downward

Greek hotel prices exhibited a drop in June 2019 almost across the board, compared to the same month last year, according to the data. Hotel prices in competing destinations like Turkey and Egypt showed similarly. This trend is also shown in the stats come from Benidorm, Costa Blanca and Valencia Region Hotel Association (HOSBEC) that show Brits favoring Turkey and Egypt over Spain destinations.
