“Not only is Turkey seeing a huge increase in the amount of money generated by tourism, they are also seeing a surge in the number of people choosing to holiday in the country. Drawn in by the great holiday deals and the country’s unique atmosphere, tourists can explore the vast history and cultural past of the region. From Istanbul to Marmaris, the country has everything a tourist could want: history, beaches, food and culture,” – said Ian Raine of ULookUBook.com in a press statement promoting some of ULookUBook.com’s latest deals on all inclusive holidays to Turkey.

Data from the Office for National Statistics (*.pdf) shows that Turkey is currently the eighth most popular holiday destination for people traveling from the United Kingdom, with over 1.8 million people visiting the country in 2010. Turkey is followed at number ten by Greece, with 1.7 million, while Spain remains the undisputed destination with over 10.4 million visits.
