Turkey Tourism at WTM #takemetoturkey

At the World Travel Market (WTM) in London this week, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s exhibit at stand  EM1000-1050 reveals the ever increasing diversity of tourism experiences in Turkey.
This year’s exhibit highlights  what’s new in travel and tourism for 2015 with Irfan Onal, General Director at the Directorate of Tourism Promotion and Advertising. Also hosted at the Turkish stand, a Turkish traditional music ensemble featuring the instruments qanun, violin, clarinet, and tambourine, will be live today between 5 and 7 pm London time. A focal point this year for Turkey tourism will be #takemetoturkey, a new competition rewarding winning entries from travel bloggers and Instagrammers, who’ll win exclusive holidays in Turkey.

2014’s WTM efforts will spotlight Istanbul, recently named top destination in the world by Tripadvisor, as well as Turkey’s diverse MICE offerings. Also sharing the spotlight, the historic destinations of the city of Bursa & its village of Cumalikizik and Pergamon in the city of Izmir are to garnish an otherwise extraodinary WTM presentation by Turkey this year.
