“Treasures of China” in Bucharest, Romania

The National History Museum of Romania (MNIR) in Bucharest is hosting a really interesting exhibition which brings a little bit of China to this country. “Treasures of China” features 101 sets of artifacts important value of the cultural heritage of the Republic of China from 11 museums and cultural institutions.

The exhibition can be visited by on August 1, 2013. in order to allow as many visitors as possible to have access to these special exhibits, the museum extended its schedule and is now open from Tuesday to Sunday between 10.00 – 18.00, while in the last Saturday of each month the program will be extended until 22.00.

Visitors will be able to admire for the first time, among others, some of the international famed soldiers that were part of the Terracotta Army, part of the inventory at the funeral of Emperor Qin Shi Huang.

During this exhibition period, the museum has new tariffs as follows: for access to “Treasures of China”, “Historical Treasure”, “Lapidary-copy of Trajan’s Column”, as well as temporary exhibitions that will be built along the way, the ticket will be 25 lei for adults, £ 15 for seniors, £ 7 for students and disabled; there will also be a £ 50 family package which includes 2 adults and up to 3 children under the age of 18.

“Treasures of China” exhibition is organized by the National Museum of History, Art Exhibition in partnership with China, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of China and the Ministry of Culture,
