Travelotopos Adds CarMates to Growing Business Network

Travelotopos

Greek technology company Travelotopos has just announced a new cooperation with CarMates, a new car rental company in Greece and Cyprus. News of the cooperation in between Travelotopos and the agency connected to RentalCars of the platform booking.com promises a new competitive dynamic for a small Cyprus startup company. But there may be more to the Travelotopos story than meets the eye.

This latest cooperation announcement comes on the heels of the Travelotopes’ in May of the software solutions provider empowering Caldera Yachting. Also, back in March of this year Travelotopes revealed “Dinner in the Sky” as part of their growing network of partners. The aforementioned partnership with Caldera Yachting was about the yacht charter company using Travelotopos’ CharterOnline booking engine to help companies manage their fleet of yachts and boats. While the earlier announcement told of the unique experience provider which takes dining to the vertical limit by elevating guests 50 meters high above the ground, offering a spectacular view of the city of Athens.

Travelotopos has, so far, designed and launched in the market four booking systems to suit the needs of small to medium-sized business in the tourism sector. With the goal to transform small businesses in the niche, the company hopes to help the little guy compete with larger companies and corporations by creating an integrated network that serves the needs of the “collective” linked partners. From a local perspective, it’s also interesting to note that Travelotopos was part of helping the Santorini Experience that we reported on earlier. Registration for the event was made possible by the Cyprus company.

Late last year Travelotopes announced integrating with integrated with Viator, a TripAdvisor B2C company and the worlds biggest OTA for things to do and activities. The latest integration of CarMates into the matrix of Travelotopos partners would seem to tighten further the circle of a fascinating plan for creating a collective online partnering community. At least this is the logical progression of such an enterprise. If the technology company is up to what it looks like they’re up to, bigger players have some cause for alarm.

Next week I’ll try and interview the company’s CTO Simos Fasouliotis about what’s next for the company and how certain hurdles are being overcome. Stay tuned.
