Trends: Travel Industry to Grow Strong in 2013

A recent study by The GO Group revealed that the travel industry can expect a healthy upswing in the coming year, at least in the US. The survey covered some 374 shuttle passengers from around the country, and found that 23% of respondents will travel more in 2013 than in 2012. Only 7% of all those interviewed said that they planned on travelling less, while a vast majority will maintain their travel habits.

But with a healthy 23% who will travel more, the travel industry in 2013 is expecting a healthy upswing, according to John McCarthy, president of GO Airport Express and The GO Group:

“This is good news for the hospitality industry, for business and for the overall U.S. economy. The US tourism and travel industry makes up a large part of US GDP and employment. I’d like to think the money our customers are saving on ground transportation is allowing them to travel more.”

The GO Group is the one-stop source for door-to-door airport shuttle services, operating in more than 50 airports.
