Tourism for Tomorrow Rewards Sustainable Tourism

At the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards in Las Vegas, three destinations were selected as the world’s best when it comes to sustainable tourism. These highly coveted tourism awards represent some of this year’s most visible and important, and especially kicking off one of the world’s largest travel trade conferences.

Two African destinations, one European, and a company in Australia were among the winners selected this year.  Singita Pamushana, in  Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in Zimbabwe, won the Conservation Award. Guludo Beach Lodge, a luxury reort in Mozambique, took  home the Community Benefit Award. And European winner Alpine Pearls won the Destination Stewardship Award for their sustainable transport network. Finally, Australia’s Intrepid Travel won the Global Tourism Business Award for its tour operations.
