Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook is looking for staff to work for the 2018 season in its International Management Team. In total, the tour operator seeks to hire 145 people, fluent in English and German, for popular tourist destinations, including Crete.

More specifically, it intends to hire 90 tour guides, 30 call center employees, 20 children’s animators and 5 for sports. Depending on the destination, the 2018 season starts in March and June and concludes by the end of October.

Tour guides and animators can be employed all over the world, while Call Center employees will be based in Crete, Mallorca and the new center in Portugal. Before starting work, the candidates will go through a 10-day training (Service Academy) at the destination where they will be employed in order to prepare for their duties.

In news last month from the tour company, hotels run by Thomas Cook will offer a sun bed scheme to travelers. According to that news, the tour operator has finally come up with a system for booking a specific sun-lounger. The company is promoting a service that allows people to book their own spot by the pool at the same time they book. “Choose Your Favourite Sunbed”, starts at three selected hotels as a kind of test of the popularity. Guests can pre-pay €25 to guarantee use of the same sun-lounger throughout their holiday.

For those interested in the aforementioned jobs, you can apply at Thomas Cook here.
