“The Last Bride” Ends Friday in Nicosia, Cyprus

For travelers to Cyprus, a fascinating exhibition entitled The Last Bride (PDF) by Asteris Gkekas, runs until April 5th at the ARTos Foundation in Nicosia, Cyprus.

An exhibition and poetry reading session highlight a wonderful expression of thanks to past, present, and future Cypriot women. Works by Asteris Gkekas, in combination with the inspiring female poets of Cyprus, takes place at the ARTos foundation.

An anthology of some 69 women poets of Cyprus, those whose works so inspired Gkekas (at left) to create an iconology of these poets, showcases a one of a kind cultural event in Lefkosia. Among the poets paid tribute to; Avraamidou Christiana, Aggelidou Clairi, Aresti Despina, Armefti A. Marina, Galazi Pitsa,  and Galanou Alexandra stand for the others here.
