Oceanis Storm Still Slamming Crete
Crete region has been inundated with heavy rainfall, high seas, and winds for the last few weeks. This past weekend the “Oceanis” cold wave brought thick snowfall to western Crete, and torrents of hale to parts of southern and central Rethymno and Heraklion prefectures.
Cyclone Zorba Batters Much of Greece Headed to Turkey
People of the Peloponnese Peninsula are gathering themselves after Zorba cut a swath through southern Greece. This morning reports of damage and flooding across Attica and other regions come on warnings from Greece’s civil protection agency. Zorba is expected to affect most of Greece and appears to have changed course again toward Turkey.
