Soundwave Croatia 2011 – Not Like Any Other

Next Friday, in Petcrane, Croatia, an outdoor amphitheater there will reverberate with Soundwave Croatia Festival 2011 what many have called “the perfect music festival” format. The “Sold Out” event features world renowned live performances to what amounts to an intimate crowd of revelers. Sold out or not, if we were you, hitting the beach outside the venue would be an option here. The festival runs from July 22nd – July 24th (see location image below).

Like I said, not like any festival you attended lately

The festival site for this event is known as The Garden, just for a bit of atmospheric breakdown here. A beach side terrace welcomes jovial music lovers by day, while a small dance venue beckons ticket holders to take their dance into the morning light. The video below shows a few highlights from last year’s event. New Bohemia and Soundcrash present something a little or a lot out of the ordinary – an event the Guardian said has “all the quirks of a Bestival but in a far more beautiful, and sunny setting” – but you can glean the meaning from the videos, can’t ya?

The lineup for this year’s “cozy” festival includes; Bonobo, Roots Manuva, Little Dragon, Belleruche, Hexstatic, Channel One Sound System, Keb Darge, DJ Format, Kid Kanevil, Stuart MacCullam & Heidi Vogel (The Cinematic Orchestra), and many, many, more.

For more info, or to hook up with the festival organizers or acts, please visit the links above, their Facebook aspect, Twitter soundwavecro, check out their YouTube Channel here (underutilized – for shame).

We leave you with one of the latest acts to confirm for next Friday’s event – the superb soulful Andreya Triana – wow.
