Six Senses Hotels to Open Luxury Resort in Kaplankaya

The idyllic Turkish Riviera is about to be enriched with a new luxury resort in May: Six Senses Hotels announced plans to open Six Senses Kaplankaya, taking over an existing property, the Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort at Kaplankaya.

Owned by Capital Partners of Turkey, the resort is part of a larger development at Kaplankaya that also features a 250-berth marina and yacht club and retail complex in addition to 141 guestrooms and suites in the main complex, plus 154 private residences located adjacent to the resort. The resort also boasts a spa, as well as fitness center, and Health & Healing Centre with 38 treatment rooms offering integrative health and wellness programs, with traditional Turkish hammams, Aquavana® hydrothermal environment, whirlpools, and experiential rains. Guest will also enjoy access to private beaches, indoor and outdoor pools, and a stunning, secluded, natural environment, perfect for a couple’s retreat, or for a quiet, yet fun-filled family vacation, as the resort offers daily entertainment and activities for children too.

“Over the next year, the design, environmental and wellness operations will be enhanced to bring the blessings of Six Senses to the beaches of Kaplankaya,” said Bernhard Bohnenberger, president of Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas.

Kaplankaya is an eco-tourism development site on Turkey’s south Aegean coast, on a stunning stretch of coastline, with natural beaches and seven bays, with undulating hills, lush evergreens, olive trees, and cypresses, all making a blissful natural setting that will nurture your soul. A Six Senses resort in this setting will further enhance the appeal of Kaplankaya:

“We welcome Six Senses to the Aegean Coast and look forward to their contribution towards the grand vision of Kaplankaya, as the world’s premier coastal living community,” said Erkan Erkek, CEO Capital Partners.

Although Kaplankaya is a secluded destination, it is easily accessible: Milas-Bodrum International Airport (BJV) is just 10 minutes by helicopter, 30 minutes by boat and 50 minutes by car from the resort. The airport has scheduled services from Istanbul and other Turkey cities, plus seasonal services from many European cities such as Amsterdam, Baku, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Paris and St. Petersburg.
