Scandic Poland Hotels Raise Enviro Bar

The Scandic hotel chain in Poland become the first there to meet the European Union’s environmental criteria. Scandic Wroclaw and Scandic Gdansk having just received their EU Ecolabel certification.

According to the news from Scandic, the chain began as far back as 1993 implementing sustainable and environmental development. Today’s announcement further testifies to the group’s  the industry’s leading sustainability program.Nordic Ecolabel or EU Ecolabel certification has been given to 120 Scandic hotels plus these most recent ones, so far.

The EU Ecolabel certificate can be obtained after implementation of an environmental policy along with careful adjustments of the product and service facilities to the requirements of the European Commission, both on a local and a global level.
