Sarajevo In June – The Peace Event 2014

Coming to Sarajevo June 6th through 9th, a monumental event, 2014: 100 years after World War I at the Bosanski kulturni centar Sarajevo.

. The event is meant to serve as an acknowledgment for every peace initiative, and a reminder peace should still be the ultimate goal of humankind. For 2014, the Peace Event Sarajevo 2014 will include plenary sessions, keynote speaches, exhibitions, music, and much more.

According to the event organizers, youth camps, activism sessions, research, and presentations of Culture for Peace and other non-violent dimensions of peaceful initiatives will be discussed.

The main themes for the event are this year are:

1. Peace and Social Justice
2. A Culture of Peace and Nonviolence
3. Gender, Women and Peace
4. Reconciliation and Dealing with the Past Militarism and Alternatives
