Belgrade to Host Sajam Turizma, International Fair of Tourism

Belgrade will be busy at the end of February. Sajam Turizma, an international tourism fair with tradition, will coincide with the Catering Equipment Fair – HORECA and the International Wine Fair – BEOWINE, which are both held at the same location. Sajam Turizma itself has been welcoming hospitality pros and their guests since 1978. This is the largest event of its kind in Serbia.

Sajam Turizma attracts a large number of exhibitors. The organizers reported a record participation of companies and visitors last year, and they expect the numbers to soar this year too. Over 1135 exhibitors featured their offers in 2016, with more than 70000 public attendants. The event gathers professionals and their guests from more than 55 countries. Sajam Turizma is a member of the European Tourism Trade Fairs Association – ETTFA.

The Russian Regions attend for the first time the mutual booth at the 39th International Tourism Fair. Their focus will be on issues like environmental, ethnographic, Arctic, cultural, educational, pilgrimage, and children tourism. Visitors will also enjoy special thematic events and tours prepared by the Russian Regions, including “The Silver Necklace of Russia” and “Russia – The Birth Place of Astronomy.”

Other featured exhibitors include Dionysos Travel & Tours from Cyprus, which offers local excursions, jeep safari in the mountain areas of Troodos, excursions to the famous archaeological parks, picnics, visits to the Aphrodite Waterpark, hikes in the Troodos mountains, and visits to the famous Kykkos Monastery, among other activities.

Allegra from Montenegro introduces its “Wake up every morning in another city” featuring exclusive cruises on all global seas. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria will participate with an extensive booth, while Air Serbia will promote its two latest programs: Elevate Play service and Etihad Guest Programme.

The slogan of the 39th edition of Sajam Turizma in Belgrade is “Enjoy in due course.” The event will be held on February 23 – 26. The partner country of the fair is Montenegro, an exciting Eastern European destination.
