The 86 million customers Ryanair support can now have the option to pay using their PayPal accounts. According to the news from Ryanair, this will speed up even further the booking process via their travel website. This, the most recent in a spree of Ryanair customer improvements, better engages the millions or potential passengers the airline can convert by making payment streamlined. Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs offered this via their press:

“Our partnership with PayPal is the latest element of our Always Getting Better programme and our commitment to the continued improvement of our customer experience, and follows the introduction of allocated seating, a free second carry-on bag, reduced fees, a new website, a new app and mobile boarding passes and our Ryanair Family Extra service. We will next unveil our tailored business product, as we continue to offer so much more than just the lowest fares.”

PayPal, with over 150 million accounts active, actually offers a new pool of potential customers for Europe’s most successful airline. As mobile and other digital techologies morph, especially for travelers, it’s clear streamlined actions like payment will be at the forefront of innovative competition in the months to come. Pay with a click, book with a click, this is the future as more and more smart devices garner user loyalty.
