Russia Tourism Has a New China Focused Curriculum

The travel association, Travel Association <World Without Borders> has announced university accredidation for universities and students in a  new speciality, teaching organized tourism focused on China tourists.
According to the news, students must pass special training in Russian and in Chinese, and in attending the special needs of travelers  from China. According to World Without Borders figures for 2014, Chinese tourist arrivals to Russia exceed all other nationalities. The need for this emerging new profession and the accompanying (which will soon be included in a Single qualification Handbook from the Ministry of labour of the Russian Federation) is associated primarily with the increase in arrivals from China and a shortage of qualified personnel.
From April 2016, the Association, together with universities, accredited by the Association, and with the support of the Federal Agency for tourism is launching the learning process in the educational program “Accompanying tourist groups from the people’s Republic of China”.
Travel Association «The World without Borders» unites about 100 Russian biggest tourist companies from 13 regions of Russia from Moscow and Saint Petersburg to the Far East and Eastern Siberia, including those from Kamchatka, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshensk, Chita, Ulan-Ude, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk.
