In news from Brussels, Rezidor Group, one of the world’s fastest growing hotel chains, just announced development of a new Radisson Blu Hotel in Istanbul. The new Istanbul Sisli contingent will sport some 305 rooms when it welcomes its first guests in the third quarter of 2012.
According to the news from Rezidor, Dilek Holding, owners of the new Radisson there, plans on expanding business within the 5 star hotel market, and is planning another 130 room hotel in this district of Istanbul as well. Kurt Ritter, President and CEO of Rezidor, had this to say about the expansion:
“This business & leisure hotel is our 4th property in operation and under development in greater Istanbul and brings our total number of rooms to almost 1,000. This clearly underlines how strategically important the Istanbul market is for our company.”
For those unfamiliar with Rezidor’s operations, the company already operates the Radisson Blu Bosphorus Hotel in the city centre and the Radisson Blu Conference & Airport Hotel near Istanbul. This latest contingent of Radisson hospitality will feature spacious and contemporary guest rooms, free high speed Internet, and extensive dining and bar facilities. An outdoor swimming pool, extensive meeting facilities, ballroom, and a luxurious spa round out typical Radisson Blu offerings.
