Considered to be within the boundaries of Valencia, Puerto Saplaya is a scenic residential resort area found on the northern parts of the beach. A mini resort town, it has just under 2,000 inhabitants and it comprises of a complex of buildings, which enclose a water channel system. Saplaya is scenic due to the colorful building designs and the massive and beautiful green flora surrounding. The large number of yachts and small boats in the channel, also add a picturesque photo op for visitors.

The best thing to do at Puerto Saplaya is to take walks along the water canals. Admiring the boats, the palm trees, and the colorful architecture, strolling the quiet byways of this stunning town is a favorite for locals and tourists. On the down side for travelers though, Puerto Saplaya is almost devoid of typical touristy shops and restaurants. Still, if you have enough time when staying in Valencia, you should pay a short visit to Puerto Saplaya.

This place is ideal for those who want to rent out or buy vacation homes in a scenic, yet quiet area – a bit away from Valencia’s noisier parts. If you want to visit Puerto Saplaya, then do note that buses are scarce and walking would take a very long time and effort consuming, not among the most beautiful parts of Valencia, but across the run-down peripheral areas. Getting to Saplaya there is rather difficult by other means, so car rental is ideal.
