Deputy Sports Minister Giannis Vroutsis emphasized the event’s broad appeal: “This year’s event, fully upgraded, is already attracting enormous interest internationally, with 47 television stations rebroadcasting the television production signal, bringing Greece to 180 countries! We seek, through the bicycle, a means so beloved by us since our childhood, to promote sports culture among Greeks, to promote the values of Euf Agonizestai and to make Greece an international sports tourism destination.”

Vroutsis further highlighted the event’s dual significance. Beyond the physical endurance, it is a celebration of culture and identity. The tour promotes sustainable tourism for regions along the route and leaves a lasting positive mark.
