Day trips have many benefits and can create a positive atmosphere in your home or work place. It can act as the perfect tonic for your office, if everybody is down in the dumps about being indoors during the summer; surprise them with a day of fun. This will reinvigorate your office and leave everybody happy. But this is only if you plan your day trip properly. If you plan a day trip and nobody enjoys it, you will get so much grief and the whole plan could lead to disappointment.

You need to start thinking of ideas and what people would actually enjoy. If you’re going with a big group, you need to please the majority of people. Maybe pick a location that has multiple attractions to suit everybody’s needs. If you’re going with young children, what’s going to keep them interested? These are the things that you need to think about. Here are some helpful tips to help you plan the perfect summer day trip:-

Destination

The UK has many beautiful locations for summer day trips but you need to pick the one that is right for your party. A popular choice amongst many groups during the summer is theme parks. The UK has a number of theme parks up and down the country. Depending on your location, you could pick the most appropriate one. The three main theme parks in England are Alton Towers which is based near Stoke-On-Trent, Thorpe Park which is located outside of London and Drayton Manor which is situated near Tamworth. All three parks have a number of rides and attractions to suit anyone’s needs.

But if you haven’t got many thrill seekers amongst your group then a theme park probably isn’t the best solution. You might just want a relaxing day so you can forget about the stress of work. The Lake District is a beautiful area of the UK and perfect for getting away from the stress of everyday life. It has glorious views, pretty villages and many outdoor activities. This is the perfect location to bond with your family or friends.

Travel

Depending on your party size, you have a few options available to you. If you’re just going with your immediate family then taking your car is probably the best solution. But if it is a big family event then why not consider using a coach service? You could suggest a car share but the whole point of a day trip is to spend time with each other.

If you hire a coach, you take away all that stress of driving away from someone and you can just enjoy your journey and catch up with people. If you are taking your whole office on a day trip then a coach is the perfect solution, everybody will be together and you could add in the feature of making your location a complete surprise for everyone.
