News of emerging companies on the move tells of Nuance Group opening a new Göteborg Landvetter Airport store, a partnership with Swedish airports company Swedavia, and moves on a wider scale.

With plans for so called “integrated” shopping areas to help streamline the traveler shopping experience, Nuance is revamping their entire image in Sweden at several key air hubs there. According to Joakim Hörnfeldt, General Manager, Nuance will open an Arlanda Terminal 4 duty free store at the end of November, and others at Arlanda, Visby, Umeå, Luleå and Åre Östersund airports from 2012-2013. The company has 350 employees in Sweden, with revenues exceeding one billion Swedish Krona ($147m).

One of the world’s biggest airport retailers, Nuance operates some 373 plus outlets and employs upwards of 4,700 people on four continents. In Sweden the company covers all of the major and intermediate airports. The company is owned jointly by GECOS/Gruppo PAM SpA and PAI Partners.
