Montenegro – The Luxury of Beauty Reaches Out

In news from Montenegro, parliament speaker Ranko Krivokapic just recently visited the Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in Ankara to try and attract investment in his country. Turkey has had a historical record of investing in Montenegro, and Krivokapic is laying out plans for continued growth.

The tourism sector has always been one of Montenegro’s strong markets, and the country’s latest outreach to Turkey reflects the potential for growth there – and more interestingly perhaps, in others from automobiles to durable goods. Montenegro’s beaches and hotel attractions leave a lot of room for positive investment, but the overall housing market is being promoted heavily too.

According to Krivokapic, the bureaucratic barriers hampering this and other industries are being targeted for overhaul. We can only suppose this would be good news for other outside investors as well.

Several state banks have been put on the market according to this news as well, and overall these efforts appear to be a wholesale effort by Montenegro to completely revamp their economy if necessary. hose who wanted to invest in housing industry. From border crossings to infrastructure, Montenegro is another of Eastern Europe’s economies that wants to be on the move.

The latest World Bank metrics on Montenegro project moderate recovery after last years 5 + percent contraction. Meanwhile, Prime Minister  is going all out to promote projects that can accelerate the country’s mid term recovery. In the first quarter of 2011, the PM is hoping the Porto Montenegro project in Tivat will be all the rage.

That luxury yacht basin and exclusive resort appears on schedule to “wow” visitors – the ones who can afford such luxury. The Bar-Boljare Road project, and other infrastructure initiatives will certainly help interconnect Montenegro’s wonderful scenic and touristic spots. Most people will be familiar with Montenegro from the James Bond flick, Casino Royale – where the new Bond, Daniel Craig emerged.
