Amazing Luxury Hotels in the Middle East

Wherever you travel on the Arabian Peninsula you’ll discover plenty of opportunities for opulence and extravagance and from the white sand beaches of the Jumeirah coast to the desert dunes further inland, no expense has been spared when it comes to gold and glamor.

No matter what your reasons for visiting the area: business, romance or even for some excitement on adventure tours, there are an awesome array of hotels and resort just waiting to make your stay on of the most exclusive experiences that you could ever imagine.

Without further ado, I’ve picked three of the region’s most fabulous locations. Each has been chosen for its dedication to decadence, incredible scenery and unrivaled amenities that range from the world’s largest fleet of chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce cars to an incorporated Formula 1 track.

Enjoy!

Burj Al Arab, Dubai

Wowsers! Some places just take the biscuit and from a fleet of Rolls Royce cars to 24hr butlers, the Burj Al Arab certainly lives up to its ‘world’s most luxurious hotel’ name tag.

No grain of sand has been left unturned when it comes to decadence and on the 24th floor you’ll find the Royal Suite that is quite simply breathtaking and opulence doesn’t go anywhere near doing the 780sq metres of living space justice.

Set over two floors of lavish fixtures and fittings guests lucky enough to be staying here will be presented with not only a private cinema and marble Jacuzzi bathrooms but a cheeky little four-poster canopy bed that (wait for it) revolves.

This is a simply amazing resort and from the iconic billowing sail architecture to the helipad on the roof, nobody does decadence like Dubai.

Beresheet Hotel, Negev Desert, Israel

Not only is the Beresheet Notel in Israel’s Negev Desert a beautiful and luxurious destination in its own right, but the setting on the edge of cliffs that drop into the world’s largest erosion crater is unrivaled.

This incredible 40km long, 500 meter deep heart-shaped crater is a stunning example of geological evolution and houses rock formations that are over 200 million years old.

The hotel itself not only offers amazing views of the craggy cliffs and imposing mountains that surround it, but is also a fantastic place to unwind after a day’s exploring. The architecture of the hotel blends seamlessly into the surrounding desert scenery, and guests can enjoy lounging by the pool, or opt for a more energetic day of adventure travel, with hiking, camel riding, cycling or jeep riding on offer.

The Yas Hotel, Abu Dhabi

If you’re looking for all the glamor and razzmatazz of the Formula One circuit as well as some of the most innovative architecture on the planet, then check out the 5-star resort of Yas Viceroy in Abu Dhabi.

As the hotel is actually built across the race track and has an enormous LED canopy that emits shade and color in equal measures, this is certainly every contemporary designer’s dream resort.

Views of the exterior design are almost as cool as watching the race itself and as the double-story presidential suites have floor to ceiling glass windows and an outdoor terrace area, guests won’t miss a thing.

This is luxury accommodation of the highest order and from bathrooms that feature: steam, sauna and lap pools to over 400sq meters of lounge, kitchen and dining space, nothing has been left out.

Take your own private lift down a few floors and you’ll find restaurants, lounges, spas and fitness suites which all give this resort a factor 11 on the luxury scale.

Our guest author, Chris, is an experienced traveler who has been lucky enough to enjoy 5-star luxury amongst the dunes of Doha.
