According to the news from Marriott International, their portfolio of hotels in Europe will expand by three. Two new Renaissance hotels in France, and one in Switzerland over the next 3 years are part of the company’s plans to double their presence in Europe by 2015. This latest news from Marriott brings their total number of projects on the continent to 27.

Marriott Renaissance Brussels

The all new Renaissance Lucerne Hotel, in Switzerland, is scheduled for completion in 2011. But the two France hotels, the Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel and Renaissance Paris Saint-Cloud Hotel, are due to be complete in 2012 and 2013 respectively. Amy McPherson, President and Managing Director of Marriott International in Europe, had this to say about the company’s latest news:

“We are thrilled to announce these three new Renaissance Hotels as we continue toward achieving our growth goals in Europe.”

The Renaissance Lucerne Hotel

This new 87-room hotel is slated to open in 2011 under a franchise agreement with Hotel Schiller Betriebe AG. Formerly the Hotel Schiller, the building dates back to the early part of the 1900’s. Located on the Pilatusstrasse, the centrally located hotel will be a favorite for those wanting to take advantage of this area’s great shopping. This picturesque setting is ideal for anyone on a short or extended stay in Lucerne. Great views, and great Marriott service, a perfect combination for value next year.

The Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel

Scheduled to open in 2012, this 139-room hotel will be a warm addition to this small provincial city in the South of France. Guests here can partake of the city’s beautiful paved plazas and near year round sunshine, as well as the local cultural flavor. A franchise agreement with ARTHOTEL Aix-en-Provence SAS, will enable visitors to the city to enjoy great Marriott service. The all new property will be located in the city center, just across from the Grand Theatre de Provence. Two restaurants, a pool, and a destination bar round out the offerings here.

The Renaissance Paris Saint-Cloud Hotel

This boutique 113-room hotel is the 5th Marriott property in Paris. Scheduled for opening in 2013, the hotel will operate out of a franchise agreement with Paris Country Club SA in Saint-Cloud, France. Just adjacent to the Paris Country Club, the site is ideal for those who want to enjoy golf while being able to take in Paris too. Tennis, swimming, two restaurants, a spa, meeting spaces, and a bar round out this new hotel’s features.
