Tõlluste Manor on Saaremaa Island Changes Hands

In hotel news from Lithuania, the historic Tõlluste manor house in Saaremaa Island has been transferred to the Estonian subsidiary of Natura Siberica, a Russian-owned natural cosmetics brand.

According to the news, the Russian brand is probably intent on transforming the manor into a spa. Representatives of Natura Siberica have been looking for the right location in Saaremaa for a hotel that takes advantageof ecologically grown and harvested pure plants. Company’s owner Andrei Trubnikov told Baltic Business News:

“We believe that with the help of the historic Tõlluste manor house we will be able to create a new successful brand in Estonia. We plan to open a spa and hotel not only for business purposes, but also to promote the ecological purity and beauty offered by the Estonian wildlife and Saaremaa in particular.”

Andrey Trubnikov founded Natura Siberica back in 2009 in Moscow. His business concept goes back much farther though, back to the 1940s in Siberia. Two Russian botanists named Lazarev and Brekhram studied 4,000 plants indigenous to Siberia. The extracts of these plants were used to create beauty elixirs for the Russian royal family.

The price for the manor was not disclosed.
