Lyttos Beach Hotel Gets Blue Flag Certification for Its Beach

Lyttos Beach Hotel

Crete’s Lyttos Beach Hotel, located in Hersonissos, not far from Heraklion, has received the Blue Flag for its beach. In 2017, Greece already has Blue Flag certification for 486 beaches and 12 marinas. This makes Greece the second in a top of 47 countries around the world that participate in the Blue Flag program.

Lyttos Beach Hotel celebrated the Blue Flag certification at the beginning of July. The hotel is hidden amongst vast, colorful gardens, in an area of 150 acres landscaped with more than 500 palm trees and flowers leading to its 350 meter fully-organized, Blue Flag awarded sandy beach.

“Through joint efforts and hard work, the Lyttos Beach team makes sure that our beach is in the best possible condition,” the hotel said in an announcement.

Besides the Blue Flag beach, the hotel also boasts six swimming pools, 22 tennis courts, a mini football pitch, a basketball court, a beach volleyball court, an archery range, a golf training range (Par 3), and a professional bike center.

Just 5 km away from the hotel, golfers can enjoy the most exciting 18-hole golf courts in the island, with magnificent views to the multi-colored Cretan mountains.

Guests can also enjoy a variety of wellness and beauty treatments at the Aegeo Spa, which also has a sauna.
