Londoners Are Invited to Celebrate Nervuz March 27th

100 musicians and dancers from 13 different Turkic nations will be in London for a debut concert Nevruz, presented by TURKSOY. In celebration of the coming Spring Vestival (Nervuz) this wonderful event delivers the music, song, dance and amazing costumes of all Central Asia to London’s from all over Central Asia Westminster Central Hall March 27th at 7 PM.

This epic and colorful event sponsored by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other regional agencies, brings to London for Springtime artists from as near as the Mediterranean, and as far away as the Siberian Sea, to light up London for a night of cultural and artistic sharing.

According to the Persian calendar, the start of spring is when the sun enters the house of Aries. This new beginning, new year as it were, will be highlighted in the London performances by artists from; Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Altai (RF), Republic of Bashkortostan (RF), Gagauzia (Republic of Moldova), Khakassia (RF), Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Sakha – Yakut (RF), Tyva (RF) and Crimea (Ukraine).

The Nevruz concert will be presented by TURKSOY, an international organisation of cultural co-operation which explores, promotes and transmits Turkic culture to future generations and which is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its foundation this year.

The 2013 Nevruz Celebration will be held in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the Promotion Fund of the Prime Ministry of the Republic of Turkey and the Embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the Russian Federation and Turkey.
