Coppélia at Montmartre, which became famous after its debut in 1870, combines a story about the then risque can-can, that was actually prohibited at this time. Artist Toulouse-Lautrec, whose life revolved around the now famous dance, provides character for the love story backdrop of the ballet.

This performance of Coppélia at Montmartre is choreographed by Youri Vámos, who brilliantly maps out the eternal themes of love, happiness, jealousy, ambition, success and death, via the dance.
