Litija Launches Heart of Slovenia Initiatives for Tourists

The city of Litija in the literal heart of Slovenia has opened their own touristic destintion online and on the ground there, the so called Heart of Slovenia is designed to offer the best the city and Slovenia has to offer.

The website aspect here, reveals a lot about this city in Slovenia for those unaware of the wonderful things to see and do in this lesser known Slovenia town. Historically, Litija was settled about 1145 AD, but the modern city is truly a gem of a find for those who have never ventured to this part of Slovenia. Situated in rural Slovenia, this place is reminiscent of the agrarian essence of the region, but also a modern country getaway you cannot believe. Pristine countryside and friendly people, that’s the big draw of Litija.

Famous, if at all worldwide, for the wonderful hiking trails of Posavje Hills outside the city, it can be said that Litija is more Slovenian than any other town of size in the country.
