Sensation White, May 5, 2012

The renowned mega show that conquered the world is coming for the second time to shake Ukraine. Kiev International Exhibition Center will turn all white for the “Innerspace” spectacle. The City Days, 28-29 May

Organized each year in the last weekend of May, the Days of Kiev are an occasion to celebrate for both locals and tourists. The city’s streets will turn into vibrant show scenes, hosting a wide variety of concerts, exhibitions, folk festivals, cultural programs, the famous “Zhar” food festival and many other events, all culminating with the long waited fireworks blooming all over the city’s night sky.

Euro 2012 Final, 1 July

The biannual European Football Championship Euro 2012 will be organized this year in Poland and Ukraine. Kiev will host some of the most important matches including: three group matches, one quarter-final, one semi-final and the grand final on 1 July. The competitions will take place on the Olympic Stadium Kiev which has been renovated to meet the standards for Euro 2012. Football fans from all over the world are expected to Kiev this summer. If Euro 2012 convinces tourists to visit the beautiful Ukrainian capital then, the city herself will definitely win them over.

Formula 1 Powerboat Competition, 21-22 July

The event will take place on the Kiev Sea in Vyshhorod, where prestigious participants from China, Italy Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and the U.S. will storm the Ukrainian waters, promising an amazing show for spectators.

These are just a few reasons  to visit Kiev, but in addition to these great events, the city of golden domes still hides many surprises for her visitors. The rich culture exhibited in her museums and the tumultuous past of this nation still dominating the Ukrainian background will fascinate the tourist, but the most impressive thing about this controversial city stands in her strong personality, her evolution and her people.
