Street Art Festival in Zadar: KalelargArt 2011

The first KalelargArt festival in Zadar was held in 2008, and its success turned the event into a repeated tradition. This year, the festival takes place July 28-29, 2011, with programs held at People’s Square, Kalelarga and forums. The festival consists of various forms of artistic expression, including musical stage performances; visual art projects; and a variety of street acrobatics and performances that entertain passers-by at every step.

Locals and tourists enjoy the KalelargArt under the starry sky.

There is something for everyone in the programme, from jazz concerts and romantic music, to jugglers and magicians entertaining old and young, KalelargArt is an event that appeals to all kinds of audiences, from academics to common people, who often find themselves participating in the acts, especially through dance.

Usually, the festival lasts three days, and features acrobats, jugglers, fire eaters, magicians, wire dancers, all kinds of performers, artists, and designers from all over the country, and even international. This year, however, the festival will only last two days: a more intense party, that offers tourists, and not only, an unforgettable experience.

Information about the festival is available at Croatia.hr, or Zadar official website. Those interested may contact the Zadar tourist board at +385 (0)23 212 222, or via email, at tzg-zadar@zd.t-com.hr. Participation at the festival is free of charge.
