Luxury Brand JW Marriott to Open 12 New Hotels

In news from Bethesda, Md, JW Marriott has announced plans to open 12 all new hotels by year end 2012. This will bring the global portfolio of accommodations to total 64 hotels and resorts in 27 countries.

For 2011 Marriott will open new locations in Bangalore, Chandigarh, India; Ankara, Turkey; and Baku, Azerbaijan. For 2012, the hoteliers plan to open hotels in; Gaakoshibee, Maldives; Cusco, Peru; the Dubai Marquis in UAE; Gurgaon, Chennai, New Delhi International Airport, India; Hanoi, Vietnam, and Seoul Dongdaemun Plaza, South Korea.

Marriott further plans to open another 13 luxury properties by year end 2015, according to the release. Mitzi Gaskins, Vice President, JW Marriott brand management, Marriott International, had this to add:

“Our JW Marriott brand is reserved for select luxury hotels in key gateway city and resort destinations. Each JW Marriott delivers a warmly authentic, relaxed and elegant environment that is unique to the luxury segment.The majority of our properties are less than eight years old and we continue to expand the brand with the addition of some beautiful new hotels and resorts in some of the world’s premier locations.”

In other news from Marriott, recently opened hotels including; The JW Marriott Marquis Miami (11/10); JW Marriott Chicago (2/11); JW Marriott Indianapolis (2/11); and JW Marriott Cannes in France (5/11), reveal not only the chain’s forward thinking, but the strength of their brand and bottom line.
