Italian B&Bs Barter Week

One of Europe’s most interesting and original tourism promotions, this year’s sixth edition or “Bartering Week” is organized annually to promote Italian B&Bs. Participants get to stay at great Italian accommodations, while paying in any way they can.

Put on by www.bed-and-breakfast.it, this wonderfully unique bartering idea is inspired by the site’s virtual marketplace, which has allowed guests and owners to work out requested arrangements. Some for instances of bartered stays are; Rome for typical food products, or a Venice visit for the cost of a photo shoot, and even the hills of Siena for making a website, and so on.

According to the website, literally thousands of requests are presented to B&B owners, many of whom accept the value offers year round. The news suggests some ways in which newcomers to Bartering Week might participate:

Go to the Bartering Week website, en.settimanadelbaratto.it and click on the
desired destination, contacting directly the B&Bs found via the “Contact and Barter” form,
or directly at the addresses provided by the site. We recommended you always take a look
at the B&B “wish list” to see if what you can offer will be of interest to the chosen
B&Bs.

Next, enter your barter offer in the section “What will you barter for a stay in a B&B”, and indicate the region, if any, that you prefer.

Then, post your barter ideas on the Facebook wall
http://www.facebook.com/settimanadelbaratto and wait for replies from the B&Bs on the
social network.
