40 Years of InterRail Europe

Eurail Group G.I.E. reports a two percent increase in passengers on the anniversary of 40 years of InterRailing success. According to news from the company, the concept of passengers traveling throughout Europe on one rail pass will be celebrated with trade shows, media events, parties and even a blog race.

For those unfamiliar, “InterRail” train travel is about passengers taking leisurely, cross border excursions via the comfort and flexibility of European rails. Eurail Group, and their member railways allow travelers to jaunt across the continent on one convenient pass. The current InterRail Global Pass, valid across some 30 European countries, is a great way for families, even couples to travel without the rush and hassle associated with other means.

One pass, hop on, hop off, see the Europe set aside from the roads. For more information about InterRail passes, prices discounts, and so on, please look at this PDF from Eurail. As an example, a Senior’s First Class continuous 15 day pass costs less than €600. Children’s and second class passes are far less.
