The Top Hotels and Resorts in Eastern Europe in 2016 Are Turkish

Europe’s Leading All Suite Hotel in 2016 is Les Ottomans in Turkey according to the Oscars of the hospitality industry, World Travel Awards.

At its 23rd edition, the prestigious World Travel Awards has already selected its European winners in all hospitality fields. Argophilia Travel News brings the best of Eastern Europe closer to your heart.

Most of the winners are Turkish… well, almost. The first winner in the hotel category in Eastern Europe to win the Europe’s Leading All Suite Hotel 2016 award is Hotel Les Ottomans in Turkey. A Turkish hotel is the winner in Europe’s Leading Entertainment Hotel 2016 category too: the Rixos Sungate in Beldibi, Antalya. This one has a mind-blowing 1094 rooms, suites, and villas, all set in the unique landscape of the Mediterranean and Taurus Mountains.

Turkey claims two other categories: Europe’s Leading Hotel 2016 with Ciragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul, and Europe’s Leading Fully Integrated Resort 2016 with Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa in Antalya. Awards go to DE&HA Tourism in Antalya as Europe’s Leading Incentive & Incoming Agency 2016, and Rixos Premium Göcek is Europe’s Leading Lifestyle Hotel 2016. Then we have Europe’s Leading Luxury All-Inclusive Resort 2016 award for Concorde De Luxe Resort in Lara, and Cornelia Diamond Golf Resort & Spa claiming the crown for Europe’s Leading Luxury Resort 2016. Europe’s Leading Theme Park Hotel 2016 is Turkish too: The Land of Legends Theme Park in Antalya. Finally, Europe’s Leading Spa & Wellness Resort 2016, Sianji Wellbeing Resort is in Bodrum, Muğla.

The pace is fast for Turkish hospitality, but Europe’s Leading Luxury All Suite Resort 2016 award goes to Cyprus, won by Columbia Beach Resort Pissouri. Then, Europe’s Leading Resort Villas 2016 are in Greece – the Elounda Beach Hotel & Villas. Elounda also takes the prize for Europe’s Leading Seafront Resort 2016 with Elounda Bay Palace. Greece also claims Europe’s Leading Villa Resort 2016 with Porto Zante Villas & Spa.
