Each of the new apps are geared to help Windows 8 users on-the-go simplification of tasks such as searching and booking hotel rooms. According to Hotels.com’s release,the apps also:
- Pin a page to their homepage at any point in the App, whether it is a specific hotel or their upcoming reservation, this then allows them to have instant access to that information
- Help users discover regions from across the world directly on the home page, including Africa, Asia and Europe when using the tablet app. It then drills down into country and city specific information offering inspiration to those undecided on their holiday destination
These are the latest in a series of app launches designed to be customer need focused by Hotels.com. Their launch of the iOS and Android mobile apps back in May 2011 marked signaled the beginning of a major move by the company to engage clients via smart devices. So far, the Hotels.com( http://www.hotels.com ) app has been downloaded 15 million times globally.
