Greece Still Has It: More Amanzoe Grandeur, That Is

A bit of a funny info bit here. Looking at all the news today we ran across a fantastic new place to visit, represented by a fantastic PR company, with an even more fantastic gala event to draw your attention to it. The other day the founders of Aman Villas, Miltos Kambourides and Katerina Katopis,  at Amanzoe attended a swanky press gig for just about anybody who is anybody in hospitality journalism. Funny, Argo Travel News is the first to tell you about these marvelous villas.

For PR moves meeting with the press is just good old fashioned business, let’s face it. So PRCo’s report on the British press meetup at Amaranto Bar at the Four Seasons there in London comes as no surprise. How did I find out about it? This is the interesting part, we are very familiar with PRCo’s Munich contingent, having interviewed the principal there, Claudia Dressler,  for our Everything PR News site. They send us releases, and I in turn look for news of their hospitality clients – as these are some of the world’s most exclusive; Taj Group to Toscana Resort, and so many more. So, running across this news was a natural thing.

What interested me most this time however, was the fact that the entrepreneurs behind  Aman Villas, Miltos Kambourides and Katerina Katopisof Dolphin Capital Investors, met up with the likes of Vogue, Tatler, Country Life, The Financial Times, Harper’s Bazaar, and the Wall Street Journal, and here we are. I’ll get my martini later on I guess, but this spectacular place should get the rest of your attention. I can only imagine a night’s sleep with the sense of calm and bridled excitement suggested in the image below.

For a close up look at what Aman Villas intends being one of the most exclusive hospitality experiences anywhere, this PDF goes a ways toward revealing the development, and this one shows a little history behind the Greek Riviera paradise Amanzoe. The Financial Times reported on the hotel launch in September of last year. Bloomberg even squeezed out a blurb here. Somehow just investing news about a place that is, for me, reminiscent of Knossos somehow, it just doesn’t do justice. Any report on this wonderful resort should have pictures, or no report at all. You simply must see what Dolphin Partners is doing with their Porto Heli Collection development in total.

Just to leave you, the reader, with a sense for how magical this place is, let me tease you with the spa description below.

“Amanzoe’s Aman Spa comprises seven double treatment rooms, two hammams and a hair and finishing salon, all looking onto a peaceful open-air courtyard. Other options for fitness and recreation include a fully-equipped Gym, Pilates equipment, a Yoga Studio overlooking the surrounding hills and two outdoor tennis courts. The generously-proportioned main swimming pool and a children’s pool complete these facilities.”

Design by Edward Tuttle, Design Realization Local Architects with Final design and Construction Documentation by archiplus architects & associates, the Amanzoe resort and the Aman Villas afford owners and guests a level of luxury and privacy, and outstanding facilities along the seaside, comparable to any in the world. Maybe best of all, the Greek Peloponnese, with all its history and touristic owners, is all around.  This Vanity Fair piece tells us about what it might be like to live here.
