Greece and Turkey on the Cheap

With their sun-kissed sandy beaches, sparkling sapphire seas and all manner of historical and mythological attractions to explore, the Greek islands are easily one of the most idyllic holiday destinations in Europe. But, best of all, many of the world’s most glamorous and sought after destinations for all this can be had at a bargain these days.

Excluding the likes of Santorini, Crete and Rhodes (which can be quite expensive still) , Greece has seen its prices go through the roof since its economic nightmare began back in 2008, and what used to be one of the best budget deals in Europe is making a bigger dent in traveler’s pockets than many would believe.

Turkey is another budget travel taboo. With the astonishing rise in visitor numbers to the former Sultanate, prices are steadily creeping upwards and those cheap summer breaks to Alanya and Kusadasi are slowly becoming a thing of the past.

For lovers of the Med and the Bosporus this might be a bit of a bore, but there is some good news on the horizon. For those who are truly determined to soak up some rays in Europe’s hottest of hot spots, a new brochure package from Greece Med Travel might just open up some possibilities.
