The top destination this year is Orlando, as usual the number one family summer destination. 4th of July here is celebrated with fireworks, shows at Disney World and SeaWorld, and free fireworks at Lake Eola.

Orlando is followed by New York City, a place that celebrates with non-conventional activities, such as Nathan’s International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, and the spectacular Macy’s 4th of July fireworks in the evening.

Los Angeles comes in third, with Mr. & Mrs. Muscle Beach pageant at Venice Beach, and a Dodgers vs. Mets game in the evening, followed by the traditional fireworks show.

What is Fourth of July without Las Vegas? This is the ideal place for singles, who celebrate with pool parties, and casino entertainment.

South Florida is always a beach party – there will be no exceptions this Fourth of July.

Denver is another cool destination to observe America’s most spectacular fireworks shows. There are four straight nights of fireworks: Coors Field has fireworks after the Rockies games on July 1st and 2nd; the Civic Center Park has a free concert and fireworks show on July 3rd and the 4th brings the sparkly stuff at Mile High Stadium after the Colorado Rapids game.

Chicago is an open invitation for nature lovers, with fireworks at Navy Pier.

Washington, D.C. is the IT place to be on the Fourth of July, particularly on the National Mall. Don’t miss the parade, and the fireworks show over the Washington Monument.

Seattle is all about beer, but also family fun. Sure, you’ll have enough fireworks to crown the event in style here too.

Last, but not least, San Francisco will have the largest fireworks display over the bay, at Pier 39. Live music and dance everywhere.
