Rejoicing over the city’s liberation from the Venetian occupancy, The Fair of Rab, also called The Medieval Days, features the wonderful Rab Crossbow Tournament, a replica of bygone times, where knights fight for the “Felix” prize. The competition is held on St Christopher’s Square along with impressive marches, medieval dances and fireworks.

Visitors at the festival can enjoy the medieval life in its entire splendor, having the opportunity to admire and to participate in traditional crafts demonstrations such as pottery painting, fishing, coinage or carpentry, to learn the old merchants’ secrets and to savor the island’s fabulous culture.

Moreover, throughout the Fjera of Rab, costumed ladies, knights, prisoners, guards, musician and various primitive characters will animate the streets of Rab’s Old Town in order to create an impressive festival of colors, ongoing traditions, joy and ancient customs, all of them taking place in a charming medieval atmosphere.
